Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
First, drain all the liquid from the wings. We like to add them to a colander, but you can also dab them with paper towels. This is important to ensure the cornstarch sticks to the wings and that they get crispy.
In a large bowl, toss together the dry chicken wings and cornstarch. Place wings in a 9x13 glass baking dish in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
At 30 minutes, take the wings out of the oven and flip the wings. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave. In a small bowl combine melted butter, honey, and salt and pepper. Cover the wings with the honey butter mixture.
Add back to the oven to continue baking for 20 more minutes. Flip again to get even crispness.
Remove from the oven after 50 minutes total baking time, or until they are crispy all over, golden brown and the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
Serve by themselves or with your favorite dipping sauce and a side of carrots and celery.
