Plate of honey baked chicken wings

Honey Butter Chicken Wings

This baked chicken wings recipe is tossed in a sweet and sticky honey glaze. It is made with simple farm-fresh ingredients and a meal the whole family will love.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds wings- tips removed optional to separate the wings or leave in V shape
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • Salt and pepper - to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • First, drain all the liquid from the wings. We like to add them to a colander, but you can also dab them with paper towels. This is important to ensure the cornstarch sticks to the wings and that they get crispy.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the dry chicken wings and cornstarch. Place wings in a 9x13 glass baking dish in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • At 30 minutes, take the wings out of the oven and flip the wings. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave. In a small bowl combine melted butter, honey, and salt and pepper. Cover the wings with the honey butter mixture.
  • Add back to the oven to continue baking for 20 more minutes. Flip again to get even crispness.
  • Remove from the oven after 50 minutes total baking time, or until they are crispy all over, golden brown and the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
  • Serve by themselves or with your favorite dipping sauce and a side of carrots and celery.
